Abstract
Indian Railways is the one of the largest Railway network in the earth. The railroads have attempted a few measures to build up its infrastructure, foundation and quality. The Indian railways are taking activities to turn into the third biggest rail line market in the next three years. India is going towards the dream of “clean and green environment”. In any case, there is a more prominent worry over garbage removal and the management. With a large section of our Indian Railways relying on manual scavenging as their current solution, developments in robotics and automation call for a more reliable and efficient system design that could bring an end to the unhygienic. The manual scavengers are subject to the conditions and thus allow for a cleaner rail network. This paper aims to present a prototype model for a cost efficient railway track cleaning machine which would prove to be a wonderful alternative to the current system in place if implemented. The proposed prototype is designed to overcome disadvantages of the available method and machine for waste disposal. A high-pressure water jet is used to spray water on the track through a nozzle and the suction pump is used to pull the waste below the surface. The track is then cleaned up with a Disinfectant. Railway platform sanitation is the very first, key prerequisite for the growth of the railway system. The proposed system would serve a cost –effective, time and lifesaving method.
