Abstract

The objective of the proposed work is to design a cost effective, compact, easy to operate part cleaning machine with significant application potential. Availability of a feasible part cleaner has been a noteworthy issue in micro and small scale industries. Existing alternatives currently used in these industries have failed to keep up with rising quality standards. Ongoing methods include cleaning by brush, water, and chemicals manually which proves to be inefficient. This paper aims to provide economically feasible design of a compact cleaner machine which tackles difficulties of a commonly used pressure washer. After modelling, simulation run and testing of critical components the designed machine was able to clean chips, dirt, and oil residues advantageously. The proposed model provides higher effectiveness in comparison to available practices of component cleaning thus decreasing the lead time and up scaling finish quality of various manufactured components.. The machine mainly finds its application in automotive, pharmaceutical, chemical and manufacturing based industries. The machine has a great scope of development in future and can also be automated to get even increased efficiency and reduced lead time.
