Abstract

The main goal of our study is to design and to make of an indirect solar drier for the conservation of fruits and vegetables or the transformation of these latter into powder. The drier is a box with a parallelepipedic form which corresponds at the same time the extension of the air sensor which is above. The inner side of the cabin is connected with hot air by a plane sensor with forced convection air ensured by functioning fans with a photovoltaic solar panel. The frame is borne by six removable wheels allowing it to follow the sun all the day. The experimental survey consists in studying the thermal evolution of the products to be dried compared to their distribution at different trays during the drying and the comparison of the evolution of mass losses’ various trays. The knowledge of these parameters will enable us to set a chart taking into account the studied products (and to extend the products having the same evolution) our drier in order to obtain a quasi-homogeneous mixture of dried products at the end of the drying.
