Abstract

This study was conducted to determine the feasibility level of the micro-hydro power plant development plan in Ngentep Village for the Off Grid system and Sarangan Lake, Magetan Regency, East Java Province for the On Grid system. From a technical and economical point of view with a capacity of 100 kW. The methodology used includes field survey activities, hydrological analysis, power and energy calculations, mechanical and electrical equipment planning, technical analysis and economic analysis. The results showed that the water discharge was able to generate minimal power in Sarangan Lake and Ngentep Village, respectively 1.59kW and 1.18kW. Based on the calculation results, the On Grid System <tex>$\text{NPC costs} = \text{US}\$ 637,725.81$</tex>, On Grid System NPC with <tex>$\text{Hybrid}=\text{US}\$\ 1,009,753$</tex>, Off Grid system <tex>$\text{NPC}=\text{US}\$\ 99,182.6$</tex>, Off Grid system NPC with <tex>$\text{Hybrid}=\text{US}\$\ 103,113.4$</tex>. And the Selling Price of the <tex>$\text{On Grid System} =\text{US}\$\ 0.038 /\text{kWh}$</tex>, the On Grid system with <tex>$\text{Hybrid} = \text{US}\$\ 0. 037/\text{kWh}, \text{Off Grid system}=\text{US}\$ 0.05/\text{kWh}$</tex>, and Off Grid system with <tex>$\text{Hybrid}=\text{US}\$\ 0. 053/\text{kWh}$</tex>, In accordance with the 2016 ESDM Ministerial Regulation and economic criteria, the configuration scenarios for micro hydro power plants in Sarangan Lake with an On Grid system and in Ngentep Village with an Off Grid system are feasible to be realized.
