Abstract

With the development of intelligent technologies, such as cloud computing, machine vision and surveillance robotics, traditional power substations are transforming to smart power substations, which require a multifunctional management platform to integrate different intelligent technologies. This paper provides the design of a multifunctional management platform for substations with the application of mature intelligent technologies. It can analysis the data obtained from the smart substations to assess the state of the substations, conclude the causes of defects and predict the risks existed in the substations. This multifunctional management platform has been constructed in Chuxiong, Yunnan province, which can analysis the data collected from local substations and manage these substations intelligently, and the performance and stability of this platform have verified the effectiveness of the platform design.
