Abstract

In order to enhance the redundancy of smart substation measurement and control devices, the redundant configuration scheme of substation secondary devices is discussed. There are 4 pop redundant backup schemes discussed, the dual distributed redundant backup scheme, the dual integrated redundant backup scheme, the single bay dynamic redundant backup scheme and the integrated multibay redundant backup scheme (IMBRB). The IMBRB scheme is more suitable for the status of automation device running in the field. In this paper, the design of redundant measurement and control device in accordance with IMBRB scheme is carried out. The main technical difficulty is the consistency check of the backup device model and the operating device model. After the consistency is met, a method is designed to make the replacement of the running device by the backup device. The complete process requires a management system. In the end, the deployment scheme of integrated redundant measurement and control device for 500kV substation 3/2 breaker is designed.
