Abstract

Present DC Microgrids are leaping the power system network over AC microgrids. However, the stability enhancement in DC microgrids becoming one of the major problems due to the flow of circulating current, which affects the system in parallel operated DC-DC converters (Buck/Boost). To reduce the circulating current, and to maintain the equal load current sharing, some control techniques have to adopt. Droop control is one of the prominent solutions for minimisation of circulating current and also maintains equal load current sharing between the parallel operated converters. In this paper, we have designed and controlled the droop controller in Matlab/Simulink for minimisation of circulating current and load current sharing equally in parallel DC-DC converters.
