Abstract

Detection of high energy particles is one of the critical issue at fusion plasmas. A single channel compact neutral particle analyzer based on small Si-diode detectors is developed to measure energetic hydrogen minority ions from ion cyclotron heating with energies between 50 and 300 keV. The diagnostic employs the integrated pre-amplifier, shaping amplifier and multi channel analyzer. The basic performance of the detector is checked by using gamma sources of Am-241 and Ba-133. In this paper, design feature and calibration results of a neutral particle analyzer are described.
