Abstract

A self-contained thermostated box is described for scanned electron-beam irradiations of small samples at −20° to 70°C. The device is tested using 10- to 13-MeV electron-beam irradiations of film dosimeters and strains of bacteria at various controlled temperatures. Mapping of three-dimensional radiation absorbed dose distributions is provided by PVC rigid-film dosimeters.
