Abstract

This paper provides a method of constructing mandatory access control model from role-based access control model, which produces a new fine-grained access control model, named EDFFAC model. The EDFFAC model includes two sub-models: D-EDFFAC model and R-EDFFAC model ,which are respectively compatible with discretionary access control (DAC) and role-based access control(RBAC) in relational database systems. Based on the EDFFAC model, the analysis methods are presented and the corresponding checking mechanism is implemented. Then the researches on inference problems in database systems with fine-grained access control are conducted. At last, using the access strategy and scope relation of SQL as an example, the analysis process of application is shown.
