Design and analysis of photonic radio frequency multiband generation using transfer function approach in advanced design system software

Abstract

Design technique of photonic generation of radio frequency using optical Mach Zehnder Modulator (MZM) is shown with professional advanced design system (ADS) software. We propose a new scheme for the generation of four multi-band frequencies in microwave and millimetre wave range using two cascaded MZMs biasing at minimum and quadrature transmission point respectively. System design of the proposed scheme is shown in ADS platform and detailed analysis is carried out. The results are found closely matched with the theoretical value.
