Abstract
Advanced wireless communication applications demands antennas with enhanced radiation properties over a wide bandwidth. Log Periodic Dipole Antenna array (LPDA) is a new class of antennas that provide constant radiation properties over a wide bandwidth. In this paper, modified planar log periodic antennas are proposed which assure an enhanced gain of 15 dBi at 2.45 GHz. Two designs of LPDA are analysed which provide provide enhanced gain and highly directive radiation pattern over a bandwidth 1 GHz to 9 GHz.
