Abstract

In this letter an ultra-wideband cross polarization conversion metasurface (PCM) has been designed and simulation results are presented. The proposed surface is made of H shaped unit cells. The H shaped pattern is made on FR4 substrate, backed by a copper sheet. The structure works as PCM in the frequency range of 6.5-22 GHz. The metasurface is efficient in cross-polarization conversion (CPC) for both normally and oblique incident electromagnetic (EM) waves with fractional bandwidth of 114%. The simulated results shows that the proposed PCM is 99% efficient in converting the polarization of the electromagnetic (EM) wave, under both normally incident transverse electric (TE) and transverse magnetic(TM) polarized EM waves.
