Abstract

The left-handed material (LHM) composed of a combination of magnetic and electrical resonator is an important method for designing the structure of the LHM. In this paper, a novel structure of LHM is designed and analyzed based on the traditional LHM structure. The parameter extraction method is applied to calculate the effective dielectric constant and effective magnetic permeability. The simulation results indicate that the effective dielectric constant and effective magnetic permeability can achieve negative value in a specific frequency band with about 200 MHz. It will provide important theoretical and practical guiding for designing the novel LHM structure with low-frequency band.
