Abstract

In this paper, a new non-isolated bidirectional DC-DC topology is proposed for new energy storage systems and DC micro-grid systems. The proposed topology is composed of five power switches, four capacitors, and two inductors. It not only has a higher voltage conversion ratio in step-up mode and a lower voltage conversion ratio in step-down mode but also lower voltage stress on switches compared with other similar converters. The proposed converter has a simple structure, which makes the control strategy to be easy. The steady-state analysis and theoretical derivation are presented in detail. Finally, a prototype is built in MATLAB/Simulink to verify the reliability of the analysis and prepares for further experimental optimization.
