Abstract
The sun is the fundamental source of energy for earth. Whenever there is no sunlight at places during day time, we use electrical sources for illumination purposes. This usage causes a significant increase in the carbon emissions. In the present research, an idea about an alternative method is shown which uses lenses in order to focus sunlight at a point and using optical fibres to transmit it in the required location and disperses like a normal bulb without any consumption of electric energy. This research compares the quantity and quality of the light output with the traditional system and shows the differences in the cost and energy aspects as well. It also mentions about the reductions in economic and environmental terms as well.
