Abstract
This paper presents the design and loss optimization of distribution system. Here Urban power network is considered and 11KV feeder is designed and I2R losses are calculated. Feeder bifurcation and re-conductoring techniques are adopted for loss optimization of distribution network. Electrical Transient and Analysis Program (ETAP) software is used for analysis of the distribution system. The cost benefit analysis of the feeder bifurcation and Reconductoring of the 11kv distribution network is also carried out.
