Abstract

According to the design characteristics of high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor, a 100kW, 50000r/min high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor is designed by 2D finite element method, and the electromagnetic characteristics of high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor at no-load and full-load condition are obtained by 2D finite element method. Because the sintered permanent magnet material can not be subjected to the tensile stress generated by the high speed rotation of rotor, the rotor strength of high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor is analyzed. The loss density of high speed motor is larger and the temperature rise of high speed motor is higher than conventional motor, so the cooling system of high speed motor is designed and the temperature rise of high speed motor is calculated. The results can provide references for the design of high speed permanent magnet synchronous motor.
