Abstract

We study static and dynamic performance of a force control pneumatic servosystem formed by a linear cylinder supplied by a pressure-proportional valve with a force closed-loop. Nonlinear and linearized models are presented to define design strategies, i.e., components satisfying imposed technical specifications. Through parametric analysis, we point out the effects due to circuit size and pressure-proportional valve bandwidth on overall system performance.
