Abstract

In recent years, the research on the mechanism of information procession in human brain has suggested some new and efficient ways to develop information storage technique by using nonlinear dynamics. In this paper, a design method of 2D nonlinear system for information storage is proposed. In this method, a cylinder space which is radially divided into n equal planar sections related to the maximum length of stored information is set, and each planar section is partitioned into N × M equal subintervals with length 1 / ( N × M ) according to the length of alphabet and total pieces of stored information. Then a 2D nonlinear system based on the Bernolli shift map is constructed in the cylinder space and M pieces of information are stored as M limit cycles in phase space of the nonlinear system. In comparison with the conventional 1D nonlinear system based information storage, our method is more time-saved and well suitable for huge information storage.
