Abstract
First and 2nd-stage males of Diaspis echinocacti (Bouche) and D. bromeliae (Kerner) are described and illustrated, and first-stage females are characterized. The generic position of D. bromeliae is questioned. Some aspects of segmentation in the first instars of the Diaspidini are briefly discussed.
