Abstract

Descriptions of the egg, first-stage larva, and pupa of the grape root borer, Vitacea polistiformis (Harris), are given. Also, an amendment to MacKay's description of the late-stage larva is included, and a key is presented to distinguish between the pupae of V. polistiformis and the peach tree borer, Sanninoidea exitiosa (Say). All stages described are illustrated.
