Abstract
Abstract First and third larval instars of the water beetle Acilius (Homoeolytrus) duvergeri Gobert are described and compared to A. sukatus (Linnaeus) and A. canaliculatus (Nicolai). Keys to all larval instars of the European representatives of genus Acilius and to larvae of the European genera of subfamily Dytiscinae are presented.
