Abstract

Abstract The female of Tomarus rostratus Dupuis is described for the first time, and the first record for the species in Chile is presented. Tomarus rosettae (Endrodi, 1968) is proposed as a junior synonym of Tomarus pumilus (Prell, 1937). The recently designated subspecies Tomarus maimon fossator Burmeister, 1847 is a synonym of its nominal species. New records are provided for the following species: Tomarus cuniculus (Fabricius, 1801), Tomarus selanderi (Cartwright, 1959), Tomarus similis (Endrodi, 1968), and Tomarus rubripes (Boheman, 1858).
