Abstract
The Krasznovszky-Wagner (KW) formula is shown to fit the available charged-particle multiplicity distributions of e + e − annihilation into hadrons reasonably. This formula is obtained by means of a generalized geometrical model in the impact parameter representation. Good agreement is also obtained between the model and experiments with respect to the second, third, fourth and fifth scaled moments. A shifted KW distribution is successfully applied to single hemisphere results published by the DELPHI and the OPAL collaborations.
