Abstract
Baylis described six lip-like plates surrounding the mouth, but did not illustrate them. Our en face preparation (Fig. 1) revealed six well developed lips, each with a papilla at its base. Surrounding these are four large papillae and the amphids. Each spicule has a wide fin, bearing longitudinal striations near the distal end, and a short spur is present very near the tip. These structures were not clearly described in the original description of the species.
