Abstract

Despite the development of the endovascular techniques, conventional surgery keeps a place in the treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms (AAA). We developed an original retroperitoneal and pararectal approach giving at the same time an access to the iliac bifurcations and the visceral aorta without associated phrenotomy or thoracotomy, and report the short and long term results of this technique.
