No Caption available. (Cont.) Single-center, retrospective study. We reviewed records of 99 AA patients with an established diagnosis of CD seen at the outpatient clinic between 2000 and 2009. Demographic and clinical variables were examined using descriptive statistics. Results are presented in table. Our study generally agrees with previous studies done on AA patients with CD. Notable differences include a predominance of women, higher incidence of Crohn's colitis and perianal disease, a higher proportion of patients on thiopurine analogues and biologics than previously reported. At a given time, approximately 33% AA patients with CD have inactive, mild and moderate to severe clinical disease activity with a corresponding slightly increased mucosal disease activity.
