Abstract

The present article addresses some contemporary challenges on early childhood education regarding democratization of the dialogical practice’s perspective with children and families from the popular classes. Our goal is to bring elements that cause conceptual displacements concerning the political and the pedagogical field on the early childhood, that disrupt with the monocultural character in the formative processes - a popular education project as a praxis under construction. We bring Paulo Freire’s thought as a guideline for a reflective invitation that leads us to recognize the conflicts in dispute in welcoming of the families and popular classes’ childhoods in a public early childhood education.
