Abstract

This little monograph is a brief and clear but not especially critical summary of the fundamental work on conditioned reflexes in experimental animals, and the development of conditioning in the human infant, with a final essay on the possible rôle of conditioning in clinical neurosis, dementia praecox, paranoia, epilepsy, stammering and other functional disorders. Pavlov's views and experimental data are generally accepted by the authors, and the book is dedicated to this great pioneer in experimental physiology of the brain.
