Abstract
Foreign bodies, such as a thorn or particles of wood or metal, often become lodged intracutaneously. Retained suture after incomplete removal leads to local irritation, infection, and dermatitis. These foreign bodies are difficult to be visualized by the naked eye in the presence of secretions, crusts, and granulation tissue. Dermoscopy helps in the detection and localization of foreign bodies. 1 Sonthalia S. Pasquali P. Agrawal M. et al.
