Abstract
Purpose: To present our preliminary results using high-dose-rate (HDR) radiotherapy with a shortened treatment schedule in patients with skin caner. HDR radiotherapy using surface molds offers an alternative radiotherapy modality to electrons for the treatment of skin lesions with a shortened treatment schedule. Custom made surface molds used in conjunction with HDR brachytherapy make possible a uniform dose distribution with a sharp dose gradient.
