Abstract

Abstract—Interstitial granulomatous dermatitis with arthritis is a systemic disease involving the skin and the musculoskeletal system. This new entity is characterized by the formation of cords in a linear or arcuate arrangement, although a wide range of clinical presentations has been described. Histologically, a diffuse interstitial infiltrate with histiocytes and foci of collagen degeneration is seen, as well as the formation of small granulomas around these areas of degeneration. In addition, there is a variable amount of polymorphonuclear leukocytes in the infiltrate. We describe two new cases with their clinical and histopathological characteristics, which fit into the clinical presentation spectrum of this pathology. We also make a differential diagnosis with interstitial granuloma annulare and discuss the latest articles published in literature.
