Abstract

The terminology of tourism is intensively developing. In the lexical system of the language, along with national terms, borrowed tourism terms also predominate. Since English is the main language of tourism terminology in modern times, borrowed terms are more often translated directly from English. International communication and global language influence the creation of new tourist terms in this language. Tourism terms are directly translated from English into Azerbaijani through transliteration or transcription. In modern tourism terminology, a large number of tourism terms used internationally do not have equivalents in the target languages. At the same time, these terms have gained functionality in the tourism discourses of different countries and have become the terms of international tourism. Both factors condition the acquisition of such terms or cause their acquisition.
