Abstract
The results of syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene cyclopropanation with diazomethane are demonstrated in an organic solvent in the presence of an organometallic catalyst to produce new polymers containing an unsubstituted cyclopropane group in the macrochain. A comparative evaluation of the levels of activity and regioselectivity of catalysts in 1,2-polybutadiene cyclopropanation is performed. This modification of syndiotactic 1,2-polybutadiene is shown to make it possible to obtain thermoplastic products with a relatively high energy saturation.
