Abstract
The title compound difluoromethylenebis(diphenylphosphine) disulfide, C25H20F2P2S2, displays an S1—P1⋯P2—S2 torsion angle of −90.76 (5)°. The P—CF2 bond lengths of 1.893 (2) and 1.893 (3) Å are appreciably lengthened in comparison to systems involving the non-fluorinated analogue diphenylphosphinomethane. In the complex μ-[difluoromethylenebis(diphenylphosphine)-P,P']-bis[chlorogold(I)], [Au2Cl2(C25H20F2P2)], the Au—P⋯P—Au torsion angle is 31.2 (1)° and a short intramolecular Au⋯Au contact of 3.1432 (8) Å is observed.
