Abstract

The timing behaviour of charge and current pulses from silicon surface barrier detectors was investigated. The current pulses have been derived from a fast current amplifier, which was mounted between the front contact of the detector and ground. Time marking signals were produced by leading edge or constant fraction of pulse height triggering respectively. The results using the current pulses are compared with those using charge pulses.
