Abstract

The COVID-19 crisis raises the question of how to deal with loans that (could) become non-performing due to the extensive economic impact of the crisis. There are several options for action, each of which has to take account consumer and regulatory framework conditions. While the domestic legislator has not yet taken any legal measures in the field of credit law, legislators of other european member states and the European banking supervisory authorities have already taken measures.
