Abstract

The Polish Resistance, 1939–1944/5 Abstract One cannot understand the Polish Resistance in the Second World War without national tradition. In the widely facts-oriented historiography, the uniqueness of this phenomenon has been highlighted in detail, with the unabated continuity (from the first until the last day of German occupation) being emphasised on the one hand, and the variety of resistance attitudes, activities and institutions (‘Resistance’/’ Underground State’) on the other. Especially the Home Army (Armia Krajowa) and the Warsaw Uprising – symbols of Polish resistance/ Resistance per se – have been playing a central role in arts as well as in the culture of remembrance and politics of history until today. ----- Bibliographie : Borodziej, Włodzimierz: Der polnische Widerstand, 1939-1944/45, JB historie, 1-2014, S. 123-137. https://doi.org/10.3224/jbh.v7i1.08
