Abstract

he adenoma of the nipple is an uncommon benign tumour originating from the milk sinus. Because of the deformed and partly erosive alterations of the nipple the tumour may be mistaken for Paget's disease. The histological picture shows a polymorphous papillary-adenomatous neoplasm with an intact surrounding myoepithelial layer and basal membrane. The diagnostic excisional biopsie is at the same time sufficiently therapeutic. A case of a patient with very extreme dimensions is discussed.
