Abstract

In order to observe the sudden changes of interconnection of Bloch walls in a domain structure of a ferrimagnet without the influence of pinning points resulting from crystalline imperfections, we measured the counting rate of Barkhausen jumps in yttrium iron garnet crystals as a function of the remagnetizing field. The crystallographic direction of the long axis of the specimens was varied. The results of measurements on a specimen cut in [110] direction are discussed.
