Abstract

The following is a conversation between Ginette Paris, author of Wisdom of the Psyche: Depth Psychology After Neuroscience and Heartbreak: New Approaches to Healing, and Lori Pye, President of Viridis Graduate Institute. This discussion analyzes the “Mother Complex” of ecopsychology from a depth psychological perspective, arguing that the complex creates a false opposition between nature and culture and results in despair and cultural regression.
