Abstract

Chemical bath deposition (CBD) of PbS particles from a methanolic solution of lead acetate (PbAc) and thiourea (TU) at room temperature is described. X-ray diffraction (XRD) studies show the formation of polycrystalline PbS with particle size of about 20 nm. Scanning electron microscope reveals that the particles are 250 to 1200 nm spheres made of network of flakes.
