Abstract
Addition of petroleum oil to certain azinphosmethyl sprays slightly increased initial insecticide deposits on wood and leaves of plum trees. However, subsequent dissipation of residues was not greatly affected by the oil. Loss of azinphosmethyl from tree branches was slower than disappearance from foliage. Azinphosmethyl-oil combination sprays did not appear to alter the insecticide’s control of the plum curculio, Conotrachelus nenuphar (Herbst).
