Abstract

The depolarization process of pre-polarized Pb(Zr0.48Ti0.52)O3 films prepared by sol-gel techniques with different annealing temperatures from 550°C to 700°C is studied. It is found that the duration of depolarization process is about 15–20 min and as a result the value of the residual polarization can be reduced by 10–40%. The depolarization current consists typically of two components with relaxation times differing by five or six times. Study of sol-gel PZT films prepared at different crystallization temperatures shows that both absolute and relative values of the depolarization increase with the increase of annealing temperature.
