Abstract

Dependences of the viscosity coefficients of magnetic fluids on parameters of state were investigated numerically using previously derived dynamic equations. It was shown that the volume viscosity and shear viscosity coefficients of a magnetic fluid based on kerosene increase with increasing density and concentration and decrease with increasing temperature; the coefficients increase with an increase in the magnetic field gradient. The results obtained are in satisfactory agreement with the experimental data.
