Abstract

Deoxyglucose (DOG) uptake, blood flow (99mTc-HMPAO uptake) and two proliferative indices, bromodeoxyuridine (BrdU) uptake and S-phase fraction (SPF), were determined on an oestrogen sensitive rat mammary tumour induced to regress by oestrogen ablation. SPF and BrdU labelling index were significantly reduced and blood flow increased in the regressing tumours. There was no significant difference between control and regressing tumours in DOG uptake. DOG uptake in the control tumours was not related to blood flow.
