The purpose of the investigation is to consider the specifics of issues of deontology and professional ethics in the work of a dentist in modern conditions. Медична деонтологія передбачає переважно норми взаємин лікаря з хворим. Багато важливих для лікування рекомендацій етичного і психологічного характеру є в працях видатного таджицього лікаря Ібн-Сіни (Авіценни), особливо в його всесвітньо відомому творі «Канон лікарської науки». Своє практичне втілення етика медичного працівника знаходить у конкретних моральних принципах, що зумовлює його ставлення до хворої людини під час спілкування з нею та її родичами.
