Abstract
The aim of this in vitro study was to evaluate the influence of patients’ age (up to 40 years old, 40-60 years old, 60-plus years old) on shear bond strength (SBS) of composites to dentin in cervical lesions comparing acid-etching and self-etching systems. The self-etching materials performed the same in all age groups. For the acid-etching materials, a significant increase in bond strength could be found in the 60-plus age group.
