Abstract
In this article, the effect of the existence and position of dental implants on antenna parameters, specific absorption rate (SAR), and current density induced by the metal part in the human head is investigated. A SAM phantom, belonging to the Computer Simulation Technology (CST) Microwave Studio, and a dipole antenna radiating at 900 and 1,800 MHz are used in this investigation. SAR and current density distribution are compared in a head model with different positions of implants.
